Rafael Luna, 69

Rafael Luna, 69 of Jacksonville, Fl passed away March 10, 2017. Mr. Luna was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, raised in New York and moved to Jacksonville in 1988 from California.  He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  Rafael owned a cleaning business in California and continued in maintenance work with hotels and apartment complexes after moving to Jacksonville.  Listening to music, watching movies, eating and especially playing dominos were a few of the things Rafael enjoyed doing.

Mr. Luna was preceded in death by his father, Israel Luna and a brother, Edwin Luna. He is survived by his wife, Luz Luna, daughter, Irene Luna, mother, Carmen Torres Luna, four brothers, Israel Luna, Hector Luna, Sixto Luna, and Michael Luna, sister, Carmen Luna and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, March 16, 2017 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Pastors, William Register and Hector Morales officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 Pm in Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors.
