Vickie Joy Carroll, 69

Vickie Joy Carroll, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Born on October 19, 1955, she was a woman of grace, kindness, and creativity.

Vickie was married to her devoted husband, Michael Eugene Carroll, for 48 wonderful years. Together, they raised two daughters, Joy Leeann Caldwell and Angela Marie Heiney. Her sister, Donna Marie Ketcherside, and brother, Gary Patrick Taylor, also survived her. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she took great pride in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a cherished grandmother to Michael Andrew Berry and Elise Joy Narvaez and a great-grandmother to Alexander Narvaez.

A gifted artist, Vickie was a professional craft designer for many years. Her wreaths were highly sought after and are still displayed on many doors during the holidays. Later, she enjoyed scrapbooking and making gorgeous custom greeting cards. Her artistic talents, decorating skills and custom gifts were admired by many.

Vickie was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where her faith and service touched the lives of many. She embraced the teachings of Christ and shared His love through her actions and words.

Vickie’s spirit will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the love she shared with all who knew her. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched through her crafts, service, and unwavering faith.

A memorial service to celebrate Vickie’s life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 461 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, Florida, on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11:00AM. Internment will follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, Florida.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Jensen, Jim Vincent, Kevin Caldwell, Joel Vincent, Robert McClellan III, Michael Berry, Carter Vincent and Herbert Ellis.
