Amy Sue Carter, 47, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Born in Orange Park, Florida, she was the cherished daughter of Susan Howard Carter and John and Janice Carter. Amy dedicated her life to her family, creating countless joyful memories along the way. As a proud mother, Amy lovingly referred to her two sons as her “Kings.” She was also known as “Mimi” to her adoring nephews and niece. Amy’s vibrant spirit and infectious laughter brought happiness to all who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to transform ordinary moments into extraordinary celebrations, eagerly dressing up for every special occasion. Excitement filled Amy’s heart as she was on the verge of becoming a grandmother for the first time, eagerly anticipating the arrival of her grandbaby.
Amy is survived by her parents, Susan Howard Carter and John and Janice Carter; grandmother, Jean Howard; her beloved sons, Anthony Moultrie and Andrew Moultrie (Auset); her sister, Amanda Blockinger (Scott); nephews Brandin Blockinger (David) and Kaleb Blockinger (Hailey); her niece, Alivia Blockinger; great niece Paisley Blockinger, and a precious granddaughter on the way.
Amy will be dearly missed, but she will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved most.
A memorial service will be at 2:00PM on Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Russell Haven of Rest Chapel. A time of visitation with the family will be 1:00PM on Friday, prior to the service.
