Richard Lynn Jones, aged 77, passed away October 16, 2024 in Green cove Springs, Florida after battling cancer. He was a beloved father and husband who will be deeply missed.

Rick was born March 10, 1947 in Warren Ohio.  He later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Rick served in the US Navy while in Jacksonville Florida as a radar operator. During this time he met and married his wife, Kerry, on June 17, 1978. He later lived in San Diego, Van Nuys, and Lancaster, California while working as a project specialist and manager deploying radar and communications equipment throughout the world as a defense contractor for the US Navy.

Rick was a man of fiery temper and fierce loyalty. He adopted computer technology early in his career and cherished the memories of teaching his toddler son to use computers and boasted of Jonathan’s accomplishments in technology. He had a deep love for animals and almost always had a dedicated canine companion.

He was predeceased in death by his father Howard Jones, mother Twila Jones, and sister Terri Maxey.

He is survived by his wife, Kerry Jones, son Jonathan Jones, daughter-in-law Angela Jones, brother David Jones, sister Susie Gamble and several nieces and nephews.  His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

The family will have a private service for scattering his ashes.
