The Amanda I knew was bold, extroverted, and brimming with energy. As a kid, she could go from sunup to sundown, racing through the neighborhood, talking to everyone, riding bikes, swimming in the pool, and just generally being wonderfully raucous. She was a constant fun seeker—always the first to jump off the diving board or launch herself down a waterslide without a second thought. She ate mac and cheese with ketchup. Her favorite color was orange, vibrant and lively, as was her personality. She listened to rap, country and pop. She raced wheelchairs down the halls of a nursing home, spreading joy and mischief, lighting up even the dullest corners. A big flirt, she could effortlessly charm those around her. Loud, unapologetic, and utterly unafraid of judgment, Amanda had a way of bending the world to her will. A one of a kind personality. She leaves a lasting mark, showing those around her how to live boldly, without hesitation, and always with an open heart.
