Doris Utter, 80, of Orange Park, FL, passed peacefully with family surrounding her on Friday, September 20, 2024. We find peace knowing she’s in the loving arms of Jesus and her fight with cancer is over. She was born in Dover, DE to the late J. Cleveland Camper and Clara Steele Camper. She moved to North Florida 35 years ago.  Doris worked numerous retail jobs in the area including a local jewelry store, the Bridal Registry of Dillard’s, and Walmart, where she retired after many years. She was a hard worker, a fun-loving friend, a strong-willed woman, and quite a fighter, which became most evident in her recent battle with cancer.  She loved to laugh and dance, especially with her grandchildren. Her favorite place on earth was Disney World, but one of the greatest joys of her life was her 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Each and every one brought so much love and laughter.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, J. Cleveland and Clara Camper.  She is survived by two sons, Eric Utter (Heather) and Ryan Utter (Kerri); two daughters, Melanie Baunchalk (Mark) and Kristen Espino (Nelson); one brother, Larry Camper; two sisters, Joan Floyd and Brenda Brown (George); 14 grandchildren, Steven, Jessica, Jennifer, Addie, Emily, Brooks, Bryson, Will, Jack, Abrielle, Olivia, Isaac, Faith and Juliana; 2 great-grandchildren, Jack and Luke; as well as many extended family members. Her loving presence will be missed by so many.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 5th, 2024 at 3pm in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest with Brent Beaird officiating.  Visitation with the family will begin at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Doris’ name to Community Hospice,https://thefoundationcares.org/give/.
