Kevin Thomas Boyle, 73

Kevin Thomas Boyle 73, son of Thomas Francis Boyle and Catherine Marie Boyle (Purcell) passed away peacefully on June 1, 2024 surrounded by family who loved him. He was born on September 17, 1950 in Staten Island, NY. He grew up in Glenham, NY and was employed after high school at Beacon Textile and Dye House. Eventually his work led him and his family to Los Angeles, California where he was employed as a Textile colorist for more than 30 years. Many of those years with Ideal Textiles. Kevin eventually settled down with his daughter and her family in Green Cove Springs, Florida.

Kevin was an avid history buff. He loved Donald Duck, the New York Yankees and old western movies. His great granddaughter lovingly referred to him as “Grandpa Cowboy”. He loved music from the big band era as well as a cold glass of Guiness beer. He was talented in sculpting and could whistle any song. He was a great singer and according to him the only one in the family who could carry a tune. He enjoyed hunting and in his golden years no squirrel or bird left unscathed from the backyard.

Kevin had an unforgettable spirit. He loved hard and fought hard throughout his 73 years of life. He was definitely a force to be reckoned with. His presence and the sound of him walking into a room with his cowboy boots on, will be missed by many but will live on in our hearts forever.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Thomas France Boyle and Catherine Purcell Boyle; sister, Loretta Basto.

He is survived by his children, Mark Smith (Evelyn, Amy McClain (Jody), Thomas Boyle (Amy), Kevin Boyle (Stacey), Katherine Olide (Veronica), Luke Messmer (CayCee), Gabrielle Perea, Lauren Perea, Kaitlin Boyle; brothers, Denis Boyle; Jeffrey Boyle (Kelly); sister, Susan Pignatello; brother-in-law’s, Joe Basto and Russ Pignatello; sister-in-law, Kelly Boyle.
