Reasie “Pat” A. Eldridge, 85

Reasie A. (Pat) Eldridge, 85, of Moultrie, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, with his family present at his home in Orange Park, Florida. Born July 26, 1938 in Orlando, Florida, Reasie grew up in Moultrie, GA where he attended Berlin Grammar School and graduated from Moultrie High School in 1956. Reasie married his high school sweetheart and remained married for 62 years until her homegoing in October 2022; they were together for 69 years. After high school graduation, Reasie attended Georgia Tech prior to joining the United States Air Force where he retired after 24+ years of service, reaching the rank of Senior Master Sargeant and retiring in 1980. Reasie was a Vietnam Veteran and proud of his service. To encourage his sons, he served for almost 20 years as a Boy Scout leader, volunteered eight years in the Orange Park High School Band Boosters Association and was a life-long Mason, becoming a 33 Degree Mason at Moultrie Lodge #381. After the Air Force, he moved to Jacksonville, FL where he attended the University of North Florida, obtained his Bachelor’s degree, and worked 15 years at St. Vincent’s as an accountant where he retired once again in 1995. Reasie treasured the time he spent with both his immediate and extended family. He loved his Colquitt County Packers, where he played as a running back, and enjoyed keeping in contact with many of his ’56 classmates until the very end.

Reasie was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and beloved wife, Clarice Eldridge; his father, Everett P. Eldridge; his mother, Thelma Hart Eldridge; brothers, Homer (Buddy) Eldridge, Everett (Gene) Eldridge and Kenneth (“Bug”) Eldridge; brothers-in-law, Harry Spires & Jack Burke; sister-in-law, Virginia Eldridge.

Reasie is survived by his sons, Donald L. Eldridge (Cathy), David P. Eldridge (Heather), Scott C. Eldridge (Janis); grandchildren, Heather Schnellbacher, John Rice, Donnie Eldridge, Joy Parman, Brandi Eldridge, John Eldridge, Savannah Eldridge, Keith Eldridge & Michael Eldridge; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Eldridge Burke; brother, Charlie Ray Eldridge; sisters-in-law, Mary Eldridge, Madis Spires & Carole DeMott.

Funeral services will be held at Russell Haven of Rest located at 2335 Sandridge Rd., Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Visitation with the family will be at 10:00 a.m. with service following at 11:00 a.m. In remembrance of Reasie’s life, the family asks in lieu of flowers that any donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
