Jack E. Powell, 75 of Lake Asbury, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024.  Jack was born in Waycross, Georgia to the late Orus Lee and Helen Hancock Powell and moved to Florida after graduating from South Georgia Jr. College (Georgia Southern).  After graduation, Jack began working with what was then called Southern Bell and after 41 years retired from AT&T.  He was a member of Russell Baptist Church, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working his garden.

Mr. Powell is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gail Powell, son, Erik (Christa) Powell, daughter, Jennifer Miller, brother, Joe (Donna) Powell, grandchildren, Luke, Josh, Jayla, and Jewelyn, great grandson, Edward, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 29, 2024 at Russell Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Weeks officiating.
