Gayla Marie Taylor, 69

Gayla Marie Taylor, 69, of Starke, Florida passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023.  Gayla was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Melvin and Dorothy Henderson and remained in Jacksonville in her early years. Prior to living in Starke, she spent a few years in Thomasville and Sarasota and was currently working in the Professional Assistant Business and Tax Department with the Rogers Towers Attorneys at Law for over 20 years.  Gayla was an amazing painter and enjoyed looking for antiques in various shops and venues.  Although she was raised Baptist, she found new faith and peace in the Catholic religion in her later years.  She will be dearly missed by her family and her dogs, Billy, Sammy, JoJo, and Miree.

Gayla is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Marie (John Dial) Coody, brother, Frank (Aloma) Mullins, sister, Theresa Robertson, nieces, Lisa (Baylor) Alexander and Jennifer Spenner, great nieces and nephews, Hunter, Holden, Madison, Emily, Haley, and Evan.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in Evergreen Cemetery of Jacksonville, FL.  Pastor Jermony Larson will be officiating.
