It is with sad hearts that we announce the homegoing of Dennis Ray Mansell, 70.  He passed away peacefully on June 8, 2023 surrounded by his wife and daughters.  He was born on April 21, 1953 in Jacksonville, FL to Fred and Kathleen Dyals Mansell.  Dennis retired after 22 years from Boger’s Shoes with fond memories and many loving friends.  Dennis enjoyed teaching, singing and playing the drums in church and with local Southern gospel groups, family vacations and fishing with his daughter, Autumn.  He also loved many special times spent with his daughter, Elise, and son-in-law, George Feagle III.

He was married for 51 happy years to his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Barbara Hendrix Mansell and together they raised two daughters, Elise Mansell Feagle and Autumn Mansell.  His kind soul and fun personality will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 11:00am in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Larry Lowry officiating.  Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior the funeral at 10:00am.  Burial will follow the funeral at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
