Steven E. Meggs, 69

Steve Meggs, age 69, of Green Cove Springs, Florida was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ruth and Steve Meggs and two of his sisters, Arlene LeChance and Donna Meggs.  Steve is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Randi Meggs, his daughters Amy Horne (Anthony Horne), Angie Sullivan (Shawn Sullivan), his grandchildren Caleb and Kylie Horne, Blake and Brayden Sullivan, his two sisters Margaret Davis and Audrey Wilkinson (Bill Wilkinson), and multiple nieces and nephews. Steve devoted his life to serving the Lord and to his family, above all else. As a long standing member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God, he served on numerous mission trips across the globe which he considered to be one of his greatest achievements all while considering them to be a privilege. When home and not working, he was known as a loving father, husband and “Pa”, who devoted all his spare time to his family. Steve loved traveling and was an avid outdoorsman who relished in the times he could fish or hunt. He will also always be remembered for his tenure as a brick and block mason in our community that many still consider to be a legend.  You will forever remain in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:00AM at Evangel Temple Assembly of God (5755 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205).  Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at 10AM.
