Donnie Hue McDaniel, 78

Donnie Hue McDaniel, 78 of Orange Park, FL passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016. Mrs. McDaniel was born in Macon, Georgia and moved to Orange Park in 1971 from Brunswick, Maine.  She worked with Civil Service for 10 years and retired from the office of Dr. Reginald Davis, MD in Orange Park after 20 years.  Donnie was a member of First Baptist Church in Orange Park where she was a Sunday school teacher.  She was dedicated to her family, a member of the Red Hat Society and was an accomplished watercolor artist.

Mrs, McDaniel is survived by her husband of 58 years, Esra McDaniel, two sons, Rusty (Robbin) McDaniel and Greg (Saana) McDaniel, sister, Alvina “Bea” Chance, and was “Nanny” to six grandchildren, Erica Dawn, Erica Michelle, Victoria, Max, Alex, and Iris, and five great grandchildren, Autumn, Alexis, Maddy, Carter and Cooper.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in the First Baptist Church of Orange Park with Rev. David Tarkington officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10-11:00 AM on Tuesday at the church.  Burial will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in Thigpen Cemetery in Rockledge, Georgia.
