Rick L. Kelley, 70 of San Mateo, FL went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 17, 2022.  He was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Charles H. and Betty-Jean Singleton Kelley. He married in 1971 and they moved to Florida. He became a Trooper for the Florida Highway Patrol, a minister, and a father in 1973. He moved to Clay County, Florida in 1978 and began holding church services in his home. He retired in 2010, as a Major after serving a 33 year career with the FHP.

Rick chose the path of a right and righteous life to honor the Lord through service and testimony. He gave of himself to the communities in which he served and was humbled and grateful for the lives he was able to touch.

His unwavering commitments to faith, family, friends, work, and hunting reflected his gift to reach, teach and lead others to right their path. Ultimately choosing to release himself to the Lord, he presented himself until his last breath, as an example of exemplary integrity, strength and bravery.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Kelley. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Kelley, mother Betty-Jean Singleton Kelley, children, Greg (Catrina) Kelley, Sally (Matt) Armstrong, Alexandria Musial, and Christopher (Moriya) Musial, Shelly (Michael) Raburn, Randi (AJ) Revels, brothers, Arlen (Kandie) Kelley, Kim Kelley, Dean (Sandy) Kelley, and sister, Karen (Bill) Renner, and five grandchildren, Jimmy, Katie, Macy, Haley and Clara.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Middleburg, FL with visitation beginning at 1:00pm, Services will begin at 2:00pm.  Pastor Tim Martin will be officiating.
