Connie Mae Smith, 73

Connie Mae Smith, 73 of Middleburg, FL passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022.  Connie was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL to the late Riley and Josephine Crosby Lee.  After graduation, she married William Allan Smith in 1968 and began travelling as Bill was stationed many places throughout his career in the Navy.  After Bill’s retirement, they still travelled and were able to visit all 50 states.  Connie was employed at various military bases, finally retiring with FEMA after 10 years.

Through her traveling, Connie and Bill along with family loved visiting the various amusement parks.  Whether it was Sea World, all of the Busch Garden locations, and even Disney in Japan, she was always planning the next trip.  Connie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Connie was preceded in death by her son, Bill in 2014 and daughter, Michelle in 2022 and  is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bill Smith, sister, Penny Butner, daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Smith Lench, and granddaughter, Ellie Mae
