Michael Benjamin Greene, 77

Michael Benjamin Greene, Sr., 77, of Middleburg, FL passed away Monday, August 22, 2022.  He was born in Jamaica Queens, New York to the late Edward Greene and Emily Valvano.  He graduated from West Islip High School and spent most of his life in New York before moving to Florida about 15 years ago.  He worked as a machinist as well as having his own company, MBG Fence Company.  Michael loved fishing and playing cards with his friends.  He was an avid New York Yankees fan.  Michael loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who call him “Grandpa”.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Agnes Rimi; a brother, Timothy Greene; and his sister, Mary Ellen Elder.  He is survived by his son, Michael Greene, Jr. (Brittney Ward); his daughter, Patricia (William) Siddon; one brother, Edward Greene; five grandchildren, Victoria Greene, Liam Greene, John Greene, William Siddon, Jr. (Thalia Nieves) and Emily Siddon; and one great-grandson, William Siddon V.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 2:00pm at Russell Haven of Rest with James Valvano officiating.  Visitation with the family will begin one hour prior to the service at 1:00pm.
