Beverly Ann McCormick Dixon, 82

One of the strongest and most persevering women we know and love, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her and had the privilege of being on the receiving end of her love and generosity.
Beverly was very faithful to the Lord, loved her church family and was actively involved at First Baptist Church, Baxley Georgia for many decades.
Beverly loved and was loved by her family. She was enormously proud of her children and their spouses and her grandchildren and their spouses and the recent addition of her great-granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents John D. and Sequel NeSmith McCormick and her son-in-law Robert J. (Bob) Pegram. She is survived by her loving daughters Lynne (husband Bob) Dixon and Leslie and her husband Scott Yirka; grandchildren Tanner and his wife Victoria Yirka, Graham and his wife Karoline Yirka and Sarah Anne Yirka; great-granddaughter Georgia-Anne Yirka; former spouse Denean Dixon and his wife Linda and many siblings, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dixon, as she was known to her pupils, was a schoolteacher in the Appling County School system for many decades and enjoyed sharing her knowledge of Science, Homemaking and various other subjects to the many students of this county.
Bev, as she was known to her many friends, was active in her bridge clubs both weekly and bi-weekly and was a faithful volunteer at the Gift Gallery at Appling Healthcare.
Beverly was an avid traveler and passed that love on to her children and grandchildren. She had the opportunity to travel to many places in the world with her Mother, sisters, daughters and grandchildren.
She is dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed on this earth.
