Welsey Warren “Doug” Douglas, 58

Welsey Warren “Doug” Douglas, 58 lifelong resident of Clay County, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022.  Doug was born in Jacksonville and moved to Clay County in 1968 and graduated in the first graduation class in 1982 from Middleburg High School.  Over the years he worked as a plumber’s assistant for some of the local plumbing companies.

Doug dearly loved his family and friends, showing a gentle and caring spirit as he would give of his efforts and time to many.  He loved his music, especially Elvis’ and was a wiz at any music trivia.  Doug will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Charles Douglas, Jr. and is survived by his mother, Janice Loggins, sisters, Michelle Douglas and Missy Hulse, nieces, Sarah, Brittney, Katie and Ginger, nephew, Ricky and close friend, Danny.

A time to celebrate Doug’s life will be scheduled in the near future.
