Alan Lee Bridges, 70

Alan Lee Bridges, 70 of Orange Park, FL passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas to parents Lawrence Bridges and Nancy Jennings. Alan along with his wife and children lived in many different places throughout his career in the Navy. In 1988 he moved to the Jacksonville, Florida area, where he currently resided. Alan had a 20-year career with the Judge Advocate General’s Corps or also known as JAG Corps as a Lawyer. In addition to his military career Alan worked as a probation officer at the Clay County Department of Juvenile Justice. Alan also worked as a professor at Florida State College Jacksonville, where he taught Criminal Law. Alan had a very successful career and a loving family that he enjoyed spending his time with. He also enjoyed tending to his Koi Pond, and his cavalier king charles spaniels and boxer dogs.  Alan was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Bridges and Nancy Jennings Bridges. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Haydon Bridges; Son, Jason Bridges (Shiree); daughter, Jennifer Gallanger (Kristopher); Grandchildren, Virginia Grotton (Michael), Haydon Bridges, Katelyn Gallanger, Benjamin Bridges, and Jaquelynn Serna-Geddings; brothers, Michael Bridges (Jennie) and Mark Bridges.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on June 4, 2022 at St. Giles Presbyterian Church (116 Foxridge Rd, Orange Park, FL 32065) with Pastor Jake Young officiating. His final internment will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218) on June 3, 2022 at 10:00AM.
