1st SGT Robert “Rob” Joseph Stamblesky, Jr. (USA Ret.), 62

1st SGT Robert “Rob” Joseph Stamblesky, Jr. (USA Ret.), 62 of Jacksonville, FL passed away March 17, 2022.   Rob was born in Mentor, Ohio, to the late Robert Stamblesky Sr. And Delores Brooks Stamblesky. He moved to Florida in 2007 and retired from Civil Service at NAS Jax in 2021.    His knowledge about WW II History was both extensive and impressive; he also enjoyed building military models and his computer.  Mr. Stamblesky will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Stamblesky was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Vicki Stamblesky-Galayda and Conrad Galayda and  is survived by his wife, Cindy Garon-Stamblesky, children, Alexis (Joseph) Nunez, Nicole Stamblesky, Deseree (Jeremy) Mitchell and Christian Garon, Sr., sister, Barbara (Larry) Marzaloes, seven grandsons, Jonathan, Jacob, Jackson, Colton, Warren, Christian, and Sebastain Nephews, Steven (Emily) Marzaloes and Simon (Arianne) Galayda.

Services will be 11:30AM on April 8 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.  A “Celebration of Life” luncheon will be 1:00PM to 3:00PM following the services and will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, 13503 Ranch Road

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that family and friends sponsor a wreath for the Jacksonville National Cemetery, through Wreaths across America , in honor of Rob.
