Imogene Elizabeth Dadisman Boyd, 100
Imogene Elizabeth Boyd, age 100, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Penney Retirement Community in Penney Farms, Florida. She was born in Salem, West Virginia on May 21, 1916 and was daughter of the late Austin David Dadisman and the late Bessie Myrtle Flint Dadisman. She had a sister 6 years older and a brother 3 years older.
Imogene accepted Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of 10. As an adult, she was very active in her church, teaching Sunday School to teenagers, joining them in all activities, including camp and missionary work. As the teenagers matured, many of them served the Lord as missionaries, pastors, teachers, in the fields of business and as homemakers.
Her great love was for missionaries, serving their Lord in different countries. Her greatest blessing was the privilege traveling to all continents except Antarctica with the Association of Baptist World Evangelism. She kept in touch with many of the missionaries by letters and e-mails, and they often stayed in her home when on furlough.
The First Baptist Church of Middleburg was a great blessing to her, and she remained active there until her health failed in her last years.
Imogene is survived by nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, some great-greats and many friends.
