Ralph Carlton Pridgen, 81

Ralph Carlton Pridgen was born on July 22, 1939, in Thomaston, Texas. After dealing with a variety of complications from Covid-19, he went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 1, 2021, in Jacksonville, Florida. Ralph was a committed follower of Jesus Christ, a loving husband, and devoted father. His love for his family was second only to his love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ralph was a 47-year member of Eisenhauer Road Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas. He served as a deacon, choir member, prayer partner and in outreach. Ralph worked for the Frito Lay Corporation for 40 years before retiring to spend more time with his family.

Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Bruce Pridgen, mother, Vera Nelson Pridgen Odom and stepfather, Tommy R. Odom; He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 57 years, Marilyn Emilienburg Pridgen, his son, Carlton Dean Pridgen and wife Traci, Daughter, Laura Pridgen Price and husband, Robert Price; seven grandchildren, Timothy Pridgen, Rachel Pridgen, Mason Ratliff, Zachary Price and wife, Jessi, Joseph Patterson and wife, Taylor, Emily Price, Ashley Patterson, two great-grandchildren, Brentley Newhouse and  Maverick Patterson;  brother, Ernest Gerald Pridgen and wife Deanna “Wikki”, half-brother, Raymond Odom, stepbrother, Robert Odom stepsisters, Frances Odom Ferrell and husband, Archie “Jr”, Ruth Ann Odom, nephew, Dwayne Ferrell and nieces, Kristen Pridgen, Suzie Ferrell McClelland, Kimberly Ehlers and Sabrina McGarity.

He is loved by many and will be missed by many more.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Middleburg, Florida on 13 July 2021 at 11:00 am. A funeral service has been scheduled to be held at Freedom Hill Church, formally Eisenhauer Road Baptist Church on Saturday 17 July 2021 in San Antonio, TX.
