Arlene Janis Dea, 59

Arlene Janis Dea, 59, of Fleming Island, FL passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021.  Arlene was born at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and was raised in a military family.  She moved to Florida 39 years ago from Orange County, California.  For the past eleven years, she was a RN at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.  Arlene always had a love for Luguna Beach in California and was the best “Girl Popo” to her five grandchildren.

Arlene was preceded in death by her mother, Mabel Melton and is survived by her daughters, Rhiannon (Lee) Myers and Nikki (Danny) Dunlap, father, Daniel Dea, sisters, Nancy Morris and Jenny Dea and five grandchildren, Ethan, Damien, Connor, Colton and Daisy.

A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2021 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest.  Visitation with the family will be from 10:30-11:00 AM prior to services.
