Geraldine Bolick Clifton, 90
Geraldine Bolick Clifton, 90, of Middleburg, Florida passed away Friday, December 18, 2020. The youngest of five children, Geraldine was born in Eden, North Carolina to the late Lester William Bolick and Maggie Bell Bunton Bolick. She was a member of the 1948 graduating class of Draper High School and was also a soloist in the chorus. Ms. Clifton spent her working years at Corning Glassworks in Danville, Virginia as a glass technician and retired in 1988 after a twenty-eight year career. Upon her retirement, Geraldine moved to Glendo, Wyoming and spent fifteen years where she was a member of the Town & Country Garden Club of Wheatland, WY and a member of the John Prince American Legion Auxillary. before moving to Middleburg, Florida in 2005.
Geraldine had many interests and abilities, among them an excellent seamstress. She was a rescue squad volunteer in her hometown, loved to travel, was a fantastic cook/hostess and a talented gardener – she had ten green thumbs. Geraldine was very fond of her cats. Ms. Clifton was a true Southern Belle.
Ms. Clifton was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert E. Bolick, Pervy Bolick, Charlie Bolick; one sister, Ruby Bolick Samuels; and father of her children, Euel F. Clifton. She is survived by her daughters, Susanne Clifton and Julia Cramer; three grandchildren, Benjamin Rigney, Cliff Cramer (Ayumi), Elisabeth Cramer Mlodik (Jeremy); and two nieces, Tia Juana Samuels Yeatts, Eleanor Robertson and one great niece, Babette Hawkins.
