Ernest “Shane” Waits, 51

Ernest “Shane” Waits, 51 of Middleburg, FL passed away Friday, October 16, 2020.  Shane was born in Birmingham, Alabama and moved to Middleburg in 1980.  He was a self employed tree surgeon and also was a roofer over the years.  Being from Alabama, he was a true Alabama Football fan and enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Waits is survived by his mother, Annette and Doug Wilson, son, Blake Waits, step son, Danny Higginbotham, brothers, Wayne Waits and Doug (Hope) Wilson, sister, Stacy (Barry) Tappen, and mother of his children, Anita Johns.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2020 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with burial to follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.  Pastor Patrick Martin will be officiating.
