Brian L. Hughes, 42

Brian L. Hughes, 42 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Friday, October 2, 2020.  Brian was born in Hoisington, Kansas and moved to Clay County from Sioux City, Iowa five years ago.  He enjoyed fishing, traveling and laughing with family and friends; however he also enjoyed a good “prank”.   His fun sarcastic nature will be missed by many.

Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis and Alma Mueller and Al Doretti and is survived by his wife, Nicole Brooks, children, Alex and Madison Hughes, mother, Bonnie Mueller, father, Michael Hughes, brother, Dennis Meyers, four sisters, Sandy Wiedenfield, Jacqueline Meyers, Julie Meyers, and Diana Hacker, grandmother, Bernice Doretti, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many extended family members.

A Celebration of Brian’s life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 11, 2020 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Pastor Patrick Martin officiating.  Visitation will be from 1-2:00 PM prior to services.
