James Kenneth “Ken” Knighten, 78

James Kenneth “Ken” Knighten, 78 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Monday, January 15, 2018.  Mr. Knighten was born in Birmingham, Alabama and moved to Green Cove Springs in 1992.  Ken was a veteran of the US Air Force, a member of the Elks Lodge # 1892, a member of Russell Baptist Church, and retired from CSX after over 30 years.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing pool with the billiard teams, and watching Alabama “Crimson Tide” Football.

Mr. Knighten was preceded in death by his wife Faye Knighten in 2003 and is survived by his children, Mike Knighten, Kim (Jerald) Carter, and Don (Patty) Johnson, brother, Ollie (Suzy) Knighten, two granddaughters, Lily and Melanie and two great granddaughters, Autumn and Cheyene.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Ron Baker officiating.
