Dorothy Marie Elliott, 72

Dorothy Marie Elliott, 72 of Fleming Island, FL passed away Monday, August 21, 2017. Mrs. Elliott was born in Creole, Alabama and was a long time resident of Clay County and having lived briefly in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  Dorothy enjoyed traveling with her late husband James Elliott, was an avid Georgia Bulldog and Jacksonville Jaguar fan.  She spent most of her last few years, caring for her husband prior to his death and continued to love her family by cooking supper and spending time with her grandson, Brad.

Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her brother, Amos Lovett, sisters, Jo, Darlene and Carolyn and is survived by her son, Gene (Jennifer) Champion and her grandson, Brad (Aysha) Champion and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home with Chaplain Benjamin Clayton officiating.
