Rachel Lynette Stewart, 43

Rachel Lynette Stewart, 43 of Jacksonville, FL passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Rachel was born at Tripler Army Hospital, Honolulu, Hawaii on February 8, 1974 and had been living in Jacksonville since 1977. She was a compassionate and giving person and will be remembered for her funny and humorous personality.

Rachel was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Adams and is survived by her children, Lesley and Joshua Duncan, father, Wayne (Joan) Stewart, brothers, Jamie Stavely and Les Brewer, sisters, Angela Stavely Parker, Debbie Stavely, Christine Stewart and Laura Stewart.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 1, 2017 in Russell Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 AM prior to services.

Rachel, my first born, I’ve loved you from the first time I held you in the Labor and Delivery room, and I’ve always wanted the best of life for you and always tried to guide you in that direction. Our relationship was one of joy and sadness, laughter and tears, and the end came too soon. You suffered physically and emotionally for many years, and now that fight has ended, for that I am grateful. The only true comfort I find in your departure is by knowing you received the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior when you were twelve. You testified to the whole family of your salvation and faith in Christ at my Father’s Day dinner just a few days before you joined Him in eternity. Rachel I love you dearly, miss you deeply and look forward to that appointed time when
I’ll see you again in that heavenly realm. Forever your Dad.
